Flash-Float-Focus-Reload

This exercise forces the shooter to balance speed and accuracy. To engage quickly, the shooter must choose the sight picture appropriate to the target (e.g., Flash, Float or Focus). Adding the reload and reversing the order of engagement with the second magazine challenges the shooter to maintain sight picture and trigger press discipline. Remember to start at Low Ready and return to Low Ready after engaging each target.

  • Hang the target at 12 feet.
