Like many Baby Boomers, my passion for firearms began with classic television shows like The Rifleman and Daniel Boone, where marksmanship was a skill to be admired. My real introduction to shooting, however, was much more personal—my father taught me to shoot a .22 rifle in the woods of upstate New York. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong love for firearms, creating cherished memories and a deep appreciation for shooting sports.
Over the years, I transitioned from recreational shooting to a more serious focus on pistol marksmanship. About 16 years ago, I became a certified firearms instructor through both the NRA and the USCCA, specializing in guiding new shooters through their first firearms experience and advancing intermediate shooters to the next level. In addition to my work with recreational shooters, I provide consulting and specialized training to professionals with specific needs in various industries.
Whether you’re just starting out or refining your technique, my goal is to help you build confidence in all aspects of gun ownership—from safe handling and effective practice to responsible decision-making.
